Kraft Dinner Launches New KD Ramen Lineup in Canada

Canadian food culture and Asian culinary inspiration have collided in a deliciously unexpected way. Kraft Heinz Canada is expanding well beyond its iconic mac and cheese roots with the introduction of KD Ramen, a new trio of instant noodle flavors designed to capture the growing obsession with cheesy ramen across the country.

Three Bold Flavors Inspired by Fusion Food Trends

The new KD Ramen lineup features three distinct varieties: Cheesy Ramen, Extra Cheesy, and Extra Spicy. According to Kraft Heinz Canada, the products represent the brand’s own interpretation of the cheesy ramen experience, drawing inspiration from the fusion flavors and food cultures that have captivated consumers worldwide.

“The new ramen lineup comes at a time when ramen is becoming increasingly popular among Canadians, particularly cheesy ramen, which is becoming one of Canada’s fastest-growing food obsessions,” the company said in a press release.

Free Samples at 7-Eleven Canada Locations

Before the nationwide rollout, Kraft Heinz Canada is giving superfans an early taste. From Thursday, June 25 through Saturday, June 27, the KD Ramen Trio will be available for free at select 7-Eleven Canada locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg. The giveaway runs from 9:00 p.m. to midnight each evening, while supplies last.

Exclusive Launch in Canada

KD Ramen is set to launch everywhere across Canada starting in July. The products will be available exclusively in Canada at grocery stores, convenience stores, and wholesale ramen locations nationwide.

Kelly Fleming, chief marketing officer of Kraft Heinz Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the new product line. “For generations, Canadians have turned to KD for convenience, cravings and distinctive cheese taste,” Fleming said in a statement. “With KD Ramen, we’re taking the iconic KD cheese flavor to a whole new level and for a whole new occasion. It’s a bold new way for Canadians to experience the taste they know and love.”

KD’s Expanding Product Innovation

The KD Ramen launch is part of a broader trend of experimentation from the beloved Canadian brand. Last month, KD Mac & Cheesecake debuted as a limited-time exclusive at SanRemo Bakery in Toronto and other participating bakeries across Canada from May 26 to June 12, while supplies lasted.
