Toronto Man Charged After Police Find Loaded Guns and Drugs
A 28‑year‑old Toronto resident is now facing more than a dozen charges related to firearms, drugs and driving after a traffic stop uncovered illegal weapons and substances.
Officers spotted a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one‑way street near Queen Street West and Denison Avenue on Sunday, and also observed an open container of alcohol inside the car.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two loaded firearms, each containing prohibited substances, and a quantity of cash exceeding $10,000.
Juan De Leon was taken into custody and charged with 18 felony counts, including unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, possessing a loaded regulated firearm, occupying a vehicle with a firearm and trafficking for the purpose of distribution.

Fatal Collision in East Scarborough Investigated
Investigation Underway After Deadly Crash
Toronto police began investigating a serious collision on July 13 near Lawrence Avenue East and Charlottetown Boulevard in the Port Union neighbourhood of east Scarborough.
The incident involved a 91‑year‑old woman driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on Lawrence Street and a 38‑year‑old woman operating a Toyota RAV4 northbound on Charlottetown.
According to investigators, the Corolla driver experienced a medical episode, ran a red light and struck the RAV4 before the vehicle careened into a building.
The elderly driver was transported to hospital with life‑threatening injuries and later died on Saturday.
Authorities are urging residents, businesses and any witnesses who were present at the scene to contact investigators at 416‑808‑1900 with video footage or other relevant information.
