How the Partnership Works

Under the new agreement, Blue Rewards members who link their eligible payment card can earn points on purchases of $20 or more at any of Dollarama’s more than 1,700 locations across Canada. Additionally, holders of the BMO Blue Rewards Mastercard will receive an enhanced benefit: 10x points on all Dollarama transactions.

With this accelerated earning rate, members can effectively earn up to 6% back on eligible spending when redeeming points through participating partners, including Blue Rewards Travel.

Affordability Meets Added Value

“Dollarama is focused on making everyday shopping easy, affordable and accessible for Canadians,” said Nicolas Hien, Dollarama’s chief information officer. “By partnering with Blue Rewards, we can enhance this experience by adding rewards to the purchases our customers have already made, providing a convenient benefit that fits naturally into their daily lives.”

Chris Wragg, vice president of strategic partnerships at BMO, emphasized the alignment between both brands’ values: “We are excited to work with Dollarama to bring more value to Canadians by expanding the ways members can make money on their everyday spending and achieve real financial progress.”

He added, “With affordability a top priority for many, Canadians are focused on managing their budgets and getting the most out of every dollar. By meeting our members where they already shop for essentials, we are making it easier to turn routine purchases into meaningful value and bring this benefit to more Canadians across the country.”
