Woman Found Shot in Downtown Apartment; Man and Woman Found Dead in Barrie

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, Toronto police responded to a shooting incident in a downtown apartment building at the intersection of Jarvis and Dundas streets. Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 9:30 a.m. and discovered a female victim with serious injuries. The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance, and no suspect description has been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police at 416-808-5100.

Wellness Check Reveals Two Deaths in Barrie

Meanwhile, in Barrie, a man and a woman were found dead at a residence during a wellness check conducted by police officers on Saturday morning. The bodies were discovered at a home in the area of St. Vincent Street and Osprey Ridge Road, in the northern part of the city. Police stated that the victims are believed to be known to each other and that the incident appears to be isolated. No further details regarding the circumstances of the deaths have been provided, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Two Separate Shooting Incidents Overnight in Toronto

Toronto police also reported two separate firearm discharge incidents overnight. The first occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. in the Jamestown Crescent and John Garland Boulevard area, east of Martin Grove Road in Rexdale. Officers responding to reports of shots fired discovered evidence of gunfire near a park. No injuries were reported.

Less than three hours later, a second shooting took place just before 4:30 a.m. in the downtown area near Baldwin and Beverley streets, close to Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street West. Police confirmed evidence of gunfire in the residential area and discovered damage to a home. Again, no injuries were reported, and investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
