Nickelback Set to Release Their Eleventh Studio Album
Canadian rock band Nickelback announced that their upcoming record, Everything Under the Sun, will hit stores on October 30. It will be the group’s first full‑length release in three years, following the 2022 album Get Rollin’.
First Single Unveiled
The band dropped the lead single “Rattle the Cage” on Tuesday, a track that features guitarist John 5. Frontman Chad Kroeger said the song “felt like the perfect way to open the door,” capturing the energy they bring to the stage night after night.
First Album with Virgin Music Group
This record marks Nickelback’s debut on Virgin Music Group, signaling a new chapter for the band after years with their previous label.
No Tracklist Yet
Fans will have to wait for the official tracklist, which the band has not yet released.
Context from Recent Projects
The announcement follows the premiere of the documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, as well as the band’s Get Rollin’ World Tour. The film explores the group’s origins in Hanna, Alberta, and chronicles their rise during the 2000s.
Band Reflections
Kroeger noted that the new material “takes risks” and “reminds us why we’ve been doing this together for so long.” He also mentioned that the single’s energy reflects the nightly stage experience they cherish.
Looking Ahead
With a long road behind them, the band hopes listeners of all kinds—fans, friends, and newcomers—will enjoy their story through the music. As they prepare to drive the project forward, the upcoming album promises fresh sounds while staying true to the band’s signature style.
