Bison Strikes SUV Tire in Yellowstone, Goes Viral
A recent TikTok video captured a Volkswagen SUV trying to pass a large bison on a park road. The animal, startled by the vehicle, struck the tire with its horn, causing it to burst and forcing the driver to pull off the road.

Earlier Bison Attack on Tourist
Just weeks before, 65‑year‑old Carl McDaniel was tossed eight feet into the air after a bison charged while he and his grandson were taking photographs. He suffered multiple fractures, including a broken hip, and required surgery.
Park Officials’ Response
Yellowstone officials said the bison will remain in the park and no management action will be taken. They reminded visitors to exercise extra caution during the bison rutting season, which typically begins in late summer.
