Elderly Cyclist Critically Injured in South Windsor Collision
Police are continuing to investigate a serious collision that left an 89-year-old cyclist with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in South Windsor on Friday afternoon.
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred just after noon at the intersection of Northwood Street and McKay Avenue. According to authorities, the elderly man was riding an electric bicycle through the intersection when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The driver remained at the scene following the collision.
The cyclist was transported to hospital, where he remained in critical condition as of Saturday. Officers from the Windsor Police Service’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit conducted a thorough investigation while the intersection was closed to traffic for approximately six hours.
Investigation Ongoing
