Actors Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are set to expand their family, announcing on Instagram that they are expecting a second child. The couple, who have been engaged since August 2024, shared the joyful news with fans on Wednesday.
Cuoco, known for her roles in The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant, expressed her excitement in a heartfelt post: “Our little family is complete, what a dream come true! This second trip has been a little windier in many ways, but wow, we are so grateful for this moment!!”
Ultrasound Reveal and Gender Announcement
In a series of photos shared on Instagram, Cuoco revealed that the couple is expecting another daughter. One image showed the family of three posing with a sprinkle-covered cake that had a pink center, indicating the baby’s gender. The post also included an ultrasound picture, which Cuoco humorously described as the baby “giving us the middle finger.”
Her fiancé, Ozark star Tom Pelphrey, shared the same post and added a playful comment: “Doc gave her a little push for the picture and that was her immediate reaction… definitely my kid.”
Engagement and Relationship Timeline
The couple announced their engagement in August 2024, a year after welcoming their daughter Matilda and two years after they first met. Their engagement came as a surprise, as Cuoco had previously stated she would never marry again following her divorce from Karl Cook. She was also previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting.
In an interview with USA Today, Cuoco revealed that she met Pelphrey through her manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph. She recalled their first meeting at an Ozark premiere: “I heard his voice and turned around and it was like my life was over or had just begun. It hit me. It was love at first sight.” She added that they bonded immediately and felt like they had known each other their whole lives, though she wasn’t ready for the relationship at the time. Now, they are excited to build a life together.
