Posh explained that she first learned of the wedding at dinner with Melanie, when the singer casually mentioned she was flying to Australia in two days to get married. When asked about her outfit, Mel C said she had a dress ready but could not alter it in time, prompting Victoria to loan the exact dress from her closet.
